1
Flying over magnificent Denali from Anchorage to Lake Minchumina.
2
On arrival we are heartfully greated by Jack Hayden himself at the airport.
3
And by his most hospitable wife Sherri, back at the cozy lodge.
4
Next morning everything is ready for coming adventure.
5
And we are setting out...
6
TO DENALI!!!
7
Over the frozen lakes...
8
And through the woods...
9
Magnificent Aurora display over our first camp.
10
And some even more beautiful auroras...
11
Next day we continue through alien landscapes.
12
And warm-up by the tent-stove at the next camp site.
13
Aurora doesn't fail us, night after night.
14
Waking up early with a sunrise...
15
Don't underestimate the old lady... she competed in the Iditarod!
16
Closer and closer to our target, Mt. Denali.
17
We unpack at the next camp site.
18
As setting sun paints the mountain.
19
Until the very end of tranquil sunset.
20
Some campfire tales are mandatory.
21
Aurora displays over the Mountain.
22
Next morning we had this wake-up-view from the tent.
23
We are set to approach the largest height-drop on Earth: the Wickersham Wall
24
On the way there we have found few remains of the recent wolf kill. On the way back: we can't find even the antlers...
25
Observing Wickersham Wall from our final lending site.
26
That's me and my trusty dogs.
27
Next morning it is time to trace our steps back.
28
We leave mountain to the wolves. (Wolves tracks, not dogs)
29
Last looks back.
30
We return, following aptly named Slippery Creek.
31
Happy campers, and our favorite pup Edgar.
